Exhibition Description
Through the creative expressions of Los Angeles youth, Chroma illuminates the often overlooked facets of coming of age. The exhibition embraces intersectional identity and frames self-discovery through three distinct acts.
The first explores expectation and perfection, questioning the weight of societal norms. The second confronts the aftermath—anger, heartbreak, loss, exploring sexuality, and body image—asserting that chaos is not an antagonist but a catalyst for growth. The final act celebrates resilience, confidence, and strength, honoring community artists, family, and friendships. Together, these moments reflect the beautiful chaos of growing up and the diverse experiences that shape identity.
